Step 1: Rent a Car at Albany International Airport
After landing, head to the rental car counters located near baggage claim. Major car rental companies are available, so be sure to book your car in advance for a smoother experience.
Step 2: Drive from Albany International Airport to 441 Clum Hill Road
Exit the airport and follow signs to get onto I-87 South (New York State Thruway) toward New York City.
Stay on I-87 South for approximately 40 miles.
Take Exit 20 (Saugerties) toward NY-32.
After the toll booth, turn left onto NY-32 North.
Drive about 6 miles and turn left onto NY-23A West toward Tannersville.
Follow NY-23A through Tannersville and continue toward Haines Falls.
Turn right onto County Road 25 (Clum Hill Road) just after passing Tannersville.
Follow Clum Hill Road for about 2 miles to reach 441 Clum Hill Road.
Total Driving Time: Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from Albany International Airport to Elka Park.
Important Notes
The drive from Albany to Elka Park is scenic, especially as you approach the Catskills. Allow extra time if you want to enjoy the views or stop along the way.
Make sure to have GPS or a printed map, as cell service can be spotty in the Catskills region.
